In October 2019 I started the ambitious project of creating my own version of Neuschwanstein Castle on a scale that would allow the replication from LEGO bricks of as many details and features of this engaging architectural gem as possible.

Working meticulously and trying to achieve the impossible in the case of each and every detail, I managed to complete this design in two and a half years by toiling daily for over 10 hours.

To my knowledge, this model is the most accurate Neuschwanstein design in the world so far in terms of its fidelity regarding all measurements, proportions and colors, as well as the largest in terms of the number of LEGO bricks used.

The design of this replica is composed of only three modules that need to be built separately, each having its own building instruction manual, after which they can be attached and joined: The Gate, The Courtyard and The Body. The Neuschwanstein model’s instruction manual is over 6,280 pages long and is available for sale. The entire creation (all bricks + manual) can be sold in either built or unbuilt form.

The experience of building this Castle is highly pleasant, as everything you are building is unique and not repetitive (unlike many other creations from LEGO bricks).

As I am not really a big fan of SNOT (Stud Not On Top) building techniques, I tried to avoid them with this design, thus you will be delighted to see your Neuschwanstein Castle raising gradually as you lay each brick in place just like a true medieval mason.

I’m not in favor of LEGO constructions which are composed of numerous modules that do not allow people to see what they are building until the end when they join them and finish the model.
So my design allows you to follow your progression in the building process with each wall, window, roof, decoration, etc.

Being enchanted by Neuschwanstein Castle, I can hardly wait to meet other enthusiasts of this Castle. I can also be contacted for helpful explanations and suggestions on the Contact Page.

Finally, I would like to thank my Swedish best friend “Mr. Bond”, without whom this project would not have existed, and I would also like to send a big “Danke” to F.S.!
